Abadía la Arroyada

A family-run business set up by Vicente Munoz Munoz who decided in 2002 to focus on making wine with their own grapes. The vines are situated in 2 main sites, Terradillos de Esgueva which is divided into multiple plots with some small parcelas of old vines 45+ yrs; Sotillo de la Ribera is largely one plot with high quality vines.

Grapes are hand-harvested to maintain the quality of the grapes and aid selection. Ageing takes place in mix of French, American & Hungarian oak barrels which are stored in their underground cellar to maintain even temperature and humidity.
